Purpose
The purpose of this document is to ensure that all event organizers and guests are informed of the emergency procedures at the Campus at Stampede Park. These procedures outline the necessary steps to take during an emergency to ensure the safety and security of all attendees.
Scope
This document applies to all events and activities taking place at the Campus. All event organizers and their teams are expected to familiarize themselves with these procedures and follow the instructions of Campus staff during an emergency.
Evacuation Procedures
In the event of an emergency that requires evacuation, please follow these steps:
- Evacuation Routes: Familiarize yourself with the posted evacuation routes in the venue. Exit signs are clearly marked, and Campus staff will direct you to the nearest safe exit.
- Muster Points: After exiting the building, proceed to the designated muster points. Do not re-enter the building until instructed by emergency personnel or Stampede Park staff.
Medical Emergencies
If a medical emergency occurs during your event:
- First Aid Kits: First aid kits are available at all major venues within the Campus, including at the reception desks and key event spaces.
- Contact Emergency Services: Dial 911 for medical emergencies. Stampede Park staff will be available to assist and guide emergency responders to the location of the incident.
- Incident Reporting: After any medical incident, event organizers must report the details to the Campus event manager to ensure proper follow-up and documentation.
Fire Safety
In the event of a fire:
- Fire Alarms: If you hear the fire alarm, evacuate the building immediately using the nearest exit. Follow the evacuation routes posted in the venue.
- Fire Extinguishers: Fire extinguishers are located throughout the venue. Only attempt to use them if it is safe to do so and you have been trained in their use.
